ConnexAI, a leading agentic AI software provider, has been shortlisted in two categories at the Digital Technology Leaders Awards 2026, hosted by Computing.

The company has been nominated in the 'Development Team of the Year' category for its AI Research Lab and in the 'Machine Learning / AI Project of the Year' category for its agentic AI platform.

The 'Development Team of the Year' nomination celebrates the work of ConnexAI's AI Research Lab, established in Manchester in 2017. The Lab brings together specialists in speech technology, large language models, natural language processing, software development, and data annotation to drive the company's agentic AI innovations. As one of the few UK teams to have built a proprietary large language model from the ground up, the Lab has become a prominent contributor to Manchester's growing AI and technology sector. The team's work has been acknowledged through multiple award wins and research papers featured in leading industry forums, including Interspeech.

The 'Machine Learning / AI Project of the Year' nomination recognises the transformation of the ConnexAI platform into a fully agentic AI system now deployed across enterprises in automotive, healthcare, insurance, and financial services. Clients have reported significant improvements in first-contact resolution, reduced handling times, and the ability to scale operations while maintaining service quality.

The Digital Technology Leaders Awards celebrate excellence in UK technology, recognising the teams and projects driving innovation across industries. Winners will be announced at a ceremony later this year.
